Trip to Manchester University Museum (FMP)

We had  an organised trip to the Manchester museum. The idea was to start off and move towards the Final Major Project by completing some sketches at the museum. I discovered some exhibits, which could possibly inform the theme of my Major project. There were some natural crystals with unbelievable patterns on the surface. I completed some sketches of the pattern I saw. Also I took some photographs of crystals, stones and other episodes of installation in the museum. I took picture of anything that would remind me of the pattern, which could be possibly seen under the microscope, accordingly to the plan of mine to explore and investigate the frozen water samples, in terms of pattern. I am planning to integrate into my final outcome an abstract shapes and lines. I experimented in combining sketched patterns into a number of compositions, which I managed to develop using  Photoshop. These compositions are only a development work, in terms of getting ideas:
